Parent Fundraising Survey Results:
In January, we asked parents for their feedback regarding ABFOM fundraising activities and the results are in:
~ 134 parents responded;
~ 90% of respondents believe we have the right number of general fundraisers which are: 2 carwashes, the fall kick-off event and membership fee of $20 per family;
~ Our biggest fundraiser, the fall kick-off event, needs to focus more on fun and entertainment to attract more attendees;
~ 60% of families responding say student fundraisers are an important way to help offset trip and other expenses and that they often or sometimes participate in student fundraisers;
~ Of the student fundraisers - which include separate sales of desserts, poinsettias, coffee and tickets for cash prize drawing - the dessert sales are most popular with respondents;
~ Overall, your feedback indicates we need to do a better job emphasizing that ABFOM financially and logistically supports ALL our music programs:
~ Choral ensembles: competitions, concerts, performances;
~ Chorus and band trips to national and internat'l competitions;
~ Color guard, Winter Guard performances and competitions;
~ Winter Percussion performances and competitions;
~ Marching, Concert and Jazz Bands':
-performances, competitions, parades, concerts.
Continued feedback is always welcome, as is your enthusiastic involvement in our efforts to support and inspire our young musicians through AB's top notch music programs.
